No tilling, plowing, pesticides or herbicides describes the pasture land our sheep and cattle co-graze. Co-grazing utilizes vegetation diversity within our fields because the sheep and cattle consume different plant species or different parts of the same plant. Co-grazing also helps to keep parasites at a minimum.
We grow according to season and we feed our animals what we grow. They then fertilize for the next crop, tilling as they wander free to graze and enjoy the beautiful North Florida landscape. Our pasture raised meats are then harvested to share the healthiest, tastiest cuts with your family.
No antibiotics, no soy, no corn and no GMO feeds. Our sheep, lambs and meat chickens are all pasture raised. The laying chickens produce dark, healthy yolks as a result of their free range lifestyle. Our rabbits are supplemented with non-GMO feed when they want more than our fresh veggies!
Located among the majestic live oaks in Madison County, Promised Land Homestead encompasses 62+ acres of open pasture, oak hammock bottoms and uncultivated ranch land. Tony and Tobi began their self sustaining homesteading journey to find truth in food and provide clean, genuinely natural food for people (and pets) to be healthy and nourished. They practice sustainable farming and homesteading as a way of life. It's truly an amazing full circle of provision and balance.
